How to take a good photo

  • Face a window, in even daylight. No flash.
  • Hold the phone at eye level, 1–1.5 m from your face. Ask someone to help or use the self-timer.
  • Your whole head and shoulders must be in the frame.
  • Look straight into the camera. Mouth closed, no smile, eyes open.
  • Hair must not cover your face. No headwear or dark glasses.
  • The background does not have to be white, we will replace it. A plain wall still gives the best result.

Frequently asked questions

Can a baby have closed eyes in the photo?

Yes. A child under 5 may have closed eyes, an open mouth or an unnatural expression. The face must still be uncovered (no dummy, toy or hair over the face), the head straight, and no other people or a parent’s hands may be in the frame. The easiest way is to lay the baby on a white sheet and take the photo from above.

What if the office does not accept the photo?

We refund the full amount. Write to mediawojtczak@gmail.com within 30 days of purchase and attach the letter or message from the office showing that the photo did not meet the requirements. The guarantee does not cover photos bought despite issues shown by the check, or photos you printed yourself in a size other than 35×45 mm.

Will the office accept this photo?

We prepare the photo according to the official requirements: 35×45 mm, white background, face 70–80% of the height. Every photo is checked automatically and you see any issues before you pay. The office makes the decision, and if it does not accept the photo, we refund you.

How much does it cost?

Preparing and checking the photo is free. The JPG file for online applications and the print sheet cost 25 PLN. The package with 6 printed photos costs 45 PLN, and delivery by registered mail or to an InPost parcel locker is free.

How do I print the photos?

Print the 10×15 cm sheet as a regular photo print at a photo shop, without cropping or fit-to-page. You can also order 6 prints from us: we send them by registered mail within 3 working days (Poland only).

Do you store my photo?

No. The photo is processed in your browser. Only after you click “Pay” are the finished files uploaded to our server so we can e-mail them to you, and we delete them right after sending. For print orders the photo is deleted after shipping.

How do I take a good photo with my phone?

Face a window in even daylight. Ask someone to take the photo from 1–1.5 m with the phone at eye level. Look straight into the camera with your mouth closed. We replace the background with white automatically.

Can I order photos for the whole family?

Yes. After preparing the first photo, tap “+ Add another person” and take the next person’s photo. You pay once for everyone: 2 people – 50 PLN, 3 people – 60 PLN, 4 people – 75 PLN. Each person can have a different document, e.g. an ID card for a parent and a passport for a child.

Can I collect the prints from a parcel locker?

Yes. When ordering prints, choose an InPost parcel locker (free delivery) and enter its code. We post the parcel within 1 working day and InPost usually delivers it in 24 hours. You get the pick-up code by text message.
